Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract position making a difference for students with diverse behavioral and academic needs in a supportive school environment near Fruitport, MI. Multiple full-time opportunities are available for dedicated professionals for the upcoming school year, starting in late August or early September. Take your career to the next level by empowering young learners as either an Early Childhood Special Education Inclusion Teacher, an Early Elementary Autism Specialist (K-1) in a self-contained classroom, or an Early Elementary Resource Room Teacher.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

Current Michigan Teaching Certificate required Preferred endorsements: Learning Disabilities (LD), Emotional Impairment (EI), Cognitive Impairment (CI), or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Must satisfy "Highly Qualified" criteria under NCLB guidelines Demonstrated background working with children with behavioral and academic challenges Experience in special education or early childhood settings is highly valued Emergency or temporary licensure not accepted Strong commitment to inclusive, student-centered instructional practices Effective communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement individualized instruction for students with diverse needs Collaborate with classroom teams, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes Develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports all students' growth Track and report student progress; adjust strategies as needed Employ evidence-based behavioral interventions and supports
