Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an Cognitive Impairment Endorsement (SE) required Highly Qualified in accordance with No Child Left Behind Guidelines Experience in providing instructional services to students who are certified Cognitive Impaired Experience in developing Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans The ability to write, implement, and monitor IEP's Knowledge and/or understanding in consistent use of data to monitor student growth, inform instruction, and develop interventions Experience in differentiated instruction, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports Systems, and individualized programming options for students Ability to integrate technology into the curriculum Superior communication skills in writing and speaking with all levels of management and staff Applicants must be able to show proof of a satisfactory criminal background check as defined by state standardsRESPONSIBILITIES
Provide differentiated instruction to students on caseload Evaluate and monitor student growth, and develop targeted interventions Maintain contact with parents of caseload students Complete caseload monthly Medicaid Billing Plan and participate in MET and IEPT meetings when appropriate Consult, communicate, and collaborate with other professionals regarding specific students, educational plans and programs Adapt materials and activities according to students needs Maintain records in accordance with professional standards, federal and state guidelines, and school district policy. Prioritize and schedule tasks Transition planning for Adult Transition students Functional Curriculum for Moderate Cognitive Impaired students Work Base Learning and Community Base Instruction PBIS tiers of support Support systems for young adults with Autism Manage inventory of equipment, assessments, and supplies CPI Training preferred Direct and supervise the classroom paraprofessional Other duties as assigned by administratorCompensation:
