What You Need:
Ability to work successfully with students, staff, administrators and community members Daily, In-person attendance and ability to be organized and work collaboratively with students, staff and families Must be flexible Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to relate well with students Ability to collaborate with building staff and parents Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Responsibilities Manage a safe, comfortable learning environment Demonstrate consistent, effective management of student behavior Demonstrate professional conduct and exhibit professional growth Strong belief that building individual relationships is paramount to learning Believes relentlessly that all children have the capacity to be successful learners Maintain student confidentiality in thorough and secure record-keeping following FERPA, IDEA and HIPPA guidelines when needed Participate in all meetings as required by the school, district, or laws, to address student needs Ability to form and maintain working and professional relationships with district staff and parents Possesses the skill and willingness to ensure that students' social and emotional needs are addressed Developing and implementing individualized programs of instruction to meet the needs of students Participating as an educational team member for the success of all students Uses technology to enhance lessons and stay current with changing trends Must demonstrate the ability to connect with all students and actively engage them in learning Communicates well with a variety of audiences both verbally and in writing Demonstrate professional conduct and exhibit professional growth Performs other such duties as may reasonably be assigned Preferred Skills/Certification Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement, qualified to teach in Michigan Show passion about the teaching/learning process for every child Build relationships with students and adults in a team environment Provide customer service atmosphere for students and parents Engagement in the process of continual improvement
