What they do

A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

GSRP Teacher:
Whether you're stepping into a Lead or Assistant Teacher role, you'll be an essential part of our GSRP team—helping preschoolers thrive during this critical stage of development.
Responsibilities include:
Building strong, positive relationships with children and families Creating joyful, engaging experiences through the HighScope Curriculum Partnering with co-teachers, leadership, and the GSRP Early Childhood Specialist to ensure a high-quality classroom Participating in home visits, conferences, and parent advisory meetings Supporting a clean, healthy, and safe environment every day
What We're Looking For:
Lead Teachers:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required)
Assistant Teachers:
CDA or relevant early childhood coursework preferred Familiarity with HighScope Curriculum (or willingness to learn) Positive, collaborative team players with excellent communication and time management skills Why You'll Love Working at
