Job Description

Step into a dynamic, rewarding environment supporting high school students in ASD classrooms for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity offers six Special Education teaching positions dedicated to helping students thrive academically and personally. The role is onsite and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, following the academic calendar from late August to early June.

Qualifications and Experience:

Current, valid Michigan Special Education teaching license (verification required — please provide a screenshot). Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in high school or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) settings. Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and instructional strategies tailored for students with diverse learning needs. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver effective, evidence-based instruction to high school students with ASD. Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations. Modify curriculum and adapt teaching techniques to meet unique student needs. Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administration. Maintain accurate records, provide progress reports, and engage in regular communication with parents or guardians.
