Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to inspire and support students with diverse learning needs. In this role, you will create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth, confidence, and independence for students with disabilities. Your expertise will help tailor educational experiences to meet individual needs, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that align with each student's unique abilities and goals. Design engaging lesson plans incorporating curriculum development, literacy education, math, and other core subjects tailored for students with developmental disabilities. Utilize educational technology integration and instructional modifications to enhance learning experiences. Manage classroom behavior effectively through behavior management strategies suited for students with special needs. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, parents, and other educators to support comprehensive student development. Conduct assessments, monitor progress through standardized testing, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Provide early intervention services and support for children in preschool or early childhood education settings. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders. Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, and classroom management techniques. Excellent communication skills for parent-teacher communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Expertise in behavioral therapy techniques and behavior management for students with developmental disabilities. Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners using instructional modifications and accommodations. Experience integrating educational technology tools to facilitate learning and engagement. $46,396.00 - $102,978.00 per year
