Job Description

Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a supportive school district in Michigan seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a K-12 school setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, in-person opportunity offers the chance to make a lasting impact while working with students who benefit from specialized instruction and support.

School-Based (Elementary, Middle, and High School Students)

Student Population:

K-12 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Contract Dates:

Immediate Openings through June 11, 2027

Schedule:

Full-Time |

Hours:

37.5 hours per week

Daily Schedule:

7.5 working hours with a 30-minute lunch break

Pay Rate:

$40-$44 per hour Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction and support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs Collaborate with families, general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation Foster a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Qualifications Active Michigan Special Education Teacher License Ability to obtain required fingerprint clearance Experience supporting students with autism preferred Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Commitment to helping students achieve academic, social, and behavioral success Why SHC Education?
