e2112-48864 Job Description Empower young learners as an educator supporting students with visual impairments in a school-based, full-time contract role. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals eager to make a lasting impact on a childs education and independence. Youll work directly with a pediatric student on a 1:1 basis in a supportive school setting, ensuring personalized guidance and growth throughout the academic year. Travel professionals are welcome, with on-site work required.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) and a valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Demonstrated experience providing 1:1 instruction or support to children, especially in educational environments Strong understanding of adaptive techniques, Braille, and assistive technology for visually impaired learners Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to tailor instructional methods to individual needs and advocate for student success Commitment to fostering a safe, encouraging, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized educational services to a student with visual impairments, in accordance with IEP goals Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments to ensure accessibility and maximize learning Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, family members, and staff to develop and implement support strategies Monitor progress and adjust instructional approaches to promote independence and confidence Provide resources and guidance on adaptive technologies and strategies Maintain necessary documentation and participate in regular meetings and trainings In this position, youll enjoy comprehensive benefits including health and dental insurance, a company-matched 401(k), and competitive weekly pay.
