We are seeking an experienced educator who is passionate about supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and creating an engaging, structured environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is an in-person opportunity working with elementary-aged students in a self-contained ASD classroom. Contract Details $41 - $45 per hour Full-time contract position August 2026 through June 2027 35 hours per week | 7-hour workdays with a 30-minute lunch break School-year schedule Job Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction to elementary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Manage a self-contained classroom of approximately six students Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs Support students' academic, communication, social, and behavioral development Collect and maintain student data to monitor progress toward goals Collaborate with families, administrators, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams Foster a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Qualifications Active Michigan Special Education Teacher License required Fingerprint clearance required Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred Strong classroom management and behavior support skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Experience in self-contained special education settings preferred Passion for helping students achieve meaningful educational outcomes Why Supplemental Health Care?
