Job Description Special Education Teacher, ASD/Self Contained Compensation Range:

$48-53/hour

Rochester, MI; Onsite - School Setting Position Summary As an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Self-Contained Teacher, you will provide specialized, highly structured instruction and functional support for students with autism in a dedicated classroom setting. ASD Teachers in the self-contained classroom design individualized curricula, manage behavior intervention plans, and oversee classroom support staff. Shift details: School Day Schedule Hours per week: 35-37.5 hours per week Contract length: School Year Key Duties Requirements Comply with timelines, laws and regulations that relate to district, state, federal policies and procedures. Monitor and document student progress on IEP goals. Collaborate with all service providers, and other staff to develop instruction and support goals that are designed to meet the learning needs of students. Compile and submit monthly Medicaid reports. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students. Participate in building meetings as directed by the building principal. Performs other duties as requested by the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal. Licenses & Certifications Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate Must have experience working with ASD students Endorsement in Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred but not required Skills Creating positive, powerful energy that fuels our school spirit.
