Qualifications & Credentials:

Valid Michigan Special Education (MI SPED) certification required Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or Consultant desirable Strong communication and organizational skills Passion for working with middle school learners and families Commitment to collaboration with faculty, families, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a teaching consultant, guiding instructional modifications and accommodations for students with diverse needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to promote student success Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders Advocate for students, ensuring access to resources and a supportive learning environment This opportunity offers a schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, allowing you to fully engage with your caseload of middle school students and make a measurable impact throughout the academic year.
