Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR LEAD

The person selected for this position will be responsible for running an early childhood classroom. They will be in charge presenting curriculum, communicating with parents and the general supervision and management of a class of up to 20 children between the ages of infant and 5 years of age.

QUALIFICATIONS

The person selected for this position must be at least 18 years of age. This person must have a CDA, associate's degree or bachelor's degree in early childhood education. This person must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the school's educational philosophy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the teacher. Planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up learning centers and preparing needed materials and supplies. Supervising the classroom. General housekeeping tasks. Maintaining professional attitudes and loyalty to the school at all times. Treating all children with dignity and respect. Attending all staff meetings and recommended training programs and workshops. Assisting in public-relation events sponsored by the school. Develop a good working relationship with parents.
