Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in elementary and middle school settings. A contract opportunity near Saginaw, MI awaits, tailored for passionate educators ready to foster academic and personal growth for learners with diverse needs.
There are two roles available:
one for an elementary level and another for a middle school level.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification required Experience working with K-8 students in resource, self-contained, or inclusion settings Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs and progress monitoring Excellent communication skills with students, families, and team members Flexibility and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction to meet students' unique learning goals Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to support inclusive practices Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning space to nurture student growth Conduct ongoing assessments and adjust lesson plans to ensure student progress Maintain accurate IEP documentation and participate in meetings Foster relationships with parents and guardians and provide regular updates on student achievement and behavior
