9642026-48080 Job Description Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education teacher supporting middle school students in both ELA and Math resource/inclusion settings. This rewarding, contract-based position begins as soon as possible and extends through June 11, 2027. Based near Saint Clair Shores, MI, youll work 36.25 hours per week, from 8:05 AM to 3:05 PM, with an additional 15-minute duty period either before or after the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction and targeted interventions in ELA and Math to middle school learners. Monitor progress, adapting strategies to meet each students needs. Manage IEPs, including development, compliance, and implementation of goals, accommodations, and behavior plans. Conduct evaluations and oversee an assigned caseload. Ensure adherence to IDEA, MARSE, and all IEP regulations, maintaining a high standard of compliance. Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to foster an inclusive environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid Michigan Special Education endorsement. Credentials in ELA and Math. Thorough understanding of

IDEA, MARSE, IEP

legal requirements, and best practices. Proven experience in middle school settings as a special education teacher. Skilled in resource, inclusion, and caseload management within the ELA/Math spectrum. Commitment to supporting a diverse population of students.
