A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.
GSRP Lead Teacher ECE Subhub is hiring full-time GSRP Lead Teachers. This is a school year position, Monday through Friday, with weekends and school breaks off, paid time off, and full benefits. Per the GSRP Implementation Manual, candidates must meet at least one of the following: A valid Michigan Elementary teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, a Birth-Kindergarten endorsement, or a PK-3 endorsement; or A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, with the transcript showing this as a major (not a minor), and a specialization in preschool teaching.
Preferred:
CPR Adult and Pediatric Certification. If you are not currently certified, we will provide certification.
