Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Discover a rewarding opportunity impacting students' lives as a Special Education Teacher focusing on Emotional Impairment. This full-time contract role supports a close-knit group of 12 students, with a dynamic classroom environment where no more than 8 will be present at once, depending on attendance. You'll also collaborate with local high schools, sharing 4 students across sites to ensure consistent, high-quality support. Classroom management is enhanced with paraeducator assistance, so you can focus on delivering individualized instruction and addressing emotional needs. This position is designed for those with Emotional Impairment certification who want to foster positive academic and personal outcomes.

Qualifications:

Current certification in Special Education with an endorsement in Emotional Impairment (required) Experience teaching or supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and families Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional practices Commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:
