In this contract role, you'll guide and inspire a team of educators while working directly with elementary students to foster growth, inclusion, and academic success. Key Qualifications and Experience:
Active teaching license with Special Education endorsement Experience as a Special Education Teacher in K-5 settings preferred Expertise in IEP development, progress monitoring, and inclusive instruction Strong leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills Commitment to ongoing professional growth and equity in education
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead special education programming for K-5 students, ensuring compliance and individualized support Oversee IEP implementation and revisions, working with families, staff, and related service providers Provide mentorship and training to special education team members Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for students and staff Use data-driven strategies to monitor student outcomes and guide instructional adjustments Serve as a liaison between the department, administration, and broader school community Maintain accurate records in line with district and state requirements
