ASAP Make a Difference in the First Years of a Child's Education Cloquet Community Education is looking for a passionate, caring, and creative School Readiness Teacher to join our early childhood team. What You'll Do As a School Readiness Teacher, you will: Create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning experiences for preschool-aged children. Develop annual curriculum plans and weekly lesson plans aligned with program philosophy and early childhood best practices. Create a welcoming, safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Adapt instruction and activities to support different learning styles, developmental needs, and diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers and conduct at least one parent conference each year. Observe, assess, and document student development and progress through fall and spring assessments. Identify student or family needs and connect families with appropriate school and community resources. Collaborate with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) staff and other professionals to support individual children and families. Provide direction and support to classroom assistants. Maintain classroom materials, supplies, organization, preparation, and cleanup. Participate in professional development and early childhood initiatives, including Parent Aware, Carlton County Jumpstart, and the Bridge Team. Participate in annual early childhood screening activities. Support program outreach, public relations, special events, and other community education activities. Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification. Follow all district and program policies, including confidentiality and student discipline policies. Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For Required:

College degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Current Early Childhood teaching license or appropriate Minnesota teaching licensure. Knowledge of early childhood development and family dynamics. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create and manage an effective early childhood classroom. Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Commitment to the philosophy and goals of the School Readiness program.

Outdoor activities may be part of the school day. The position requires the ability to lift and move classroom materials and equipment, lift and hold children weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, and walk up to one mile as needed for job-related activities.
