Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding part-time contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting early childhood learners. This role is perfect for professionals passionate about making a difference in self-contained classroom environments. Working with dedicated paraeducators, you will help shape an inclusive, encouraging, and structured environment for young students with diverse learning needs. This position is part-time at 0.5 FTE, offering flexible workday schedules to accommodate your needs. Choose between a consistent Monday-Friday morning schedule (8:15 AM-12:15 PM), or combine full and half days (Monday and Wednesday full days; Tuesday morning). Mondays are dedicated to paperwork and meetings, providing space for focused collaboration and planning. As a valued team member, you may also occasionally serve as a float substitute within the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education (SPED) Teaching License Experience or strong interest in working within self-contained classroom settings Proven ability to collaborate with paraeducators and other specialists Flexible mindset—willingness to serve as a float substitute when needed Strong organizational skills for managing paperwork and IEP planning
