Make a lasting difference in students lives by providing essential support as a Special Education Teacher on a contract assignment in a school setting near the Cottage Grove, MN area. In this rewarding role, you will collaborate closely with students, educators, and families to craft engaging lesson plans and tailored strategies that support unique learning needs.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Hold a valid Special Education teaching license or certification appropriate for the assignment Experience developing and delivering Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Strong communication skills for working with students, colleagues, and families Flexibility and creativity in adapting instruction to various learning styles Ability to foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary education teams
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement effective instructional plans based on each students IEP Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments as needed Engage with families and faculty to support student growth and achievement Utilize a range of instructional techniques, technology, and materials to meet diverse needs Maintain accurate records and uphold compliance with policies and regulations Contribute to a positive, cooperative, and supportive school culture
