Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive, dynamic educational environment. Two exciting contract opportunities are available near Eden Prairie, MN, working with either elementary or middle school students. Both positions are full-time and span the entire school year, providing the chance to build lasting connections and positively impact students' academic and developmental growth.
Current openings:
Elementary Special Education Teacher:
Requires Level 3 MN Special Education Licensure; work in a dedicated elementary classroom.
Middle School Special Education Teacher:
Requires Level 3 MN Special Education Licensure; engage with students in a middle school setting.
Qualifications:
Active Level 3 Minnesota Special Education Licensure is required Experience working as a Special Education Teacher with elementary or middle school students strongly preferred Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to diverse learning needs Strong classroom management and communication skills Collaborative mindset, comfortable partnering with faculty, support staff, parents, and administrators A passion for fostering inclusion and supporting exceptional learners
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver instruction aligned with each student's IEP, ensuring academic and social-emotional progress Conduct assessments, maintain accurate records, and monitor student achievements Communicate regularly with families, participating in team meetings and progress reviews Adapt lessons and classroom environments to meet individual student needs Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom culture conducive to learning This is a fantastic opportunity to nurture student growth while working in a collaborative, resource-rich school.
