Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding teaching opportunity supporting students with diverse learning needs in a contract role for the upcoming school year. We're seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join an inspiring educational environment for School Year 27.
Two positions are available:
one focusing on Elementary and another covering Upper Elementary with some Secondary responsibilities.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-approved or reciprocal) Experience in Elementary and/or Secondary special education settings, preferably in schools Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individualized education programs (IEPs) Strong classroom management and communication skills Collaborative mindset for working with general educators, support staff, and families Knowledge of instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications for diverse learners
Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and accommodations in accordance with students' IEPs Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment fostering academic and social growth Collaborate with teaching teams, therapists, administrators, and parents Participate in staff development sessions the weeks of August 24 and August 31 as part of your onboarding Engage in ongoing professional growth and development opportunities Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all special education regulations Support the successful launch of the school year for scholars, with instruction beginning September 8 This contract position allows passionate educators to make a meaningful impact, with a supportive network of colleagues and opportunities for professional collaboration.
