Desired Qualifications:
Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement Experience working with children who have a range of learning, emotional, or physical disabilities In-depth knowledge of IEP development and implementation Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt instruction and modify curriculum to fit student needs Organizational skills to track progress and manage paperwork efficiently Commitment to inclusive classroom practices and collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and assess Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students Differentiate instruction based on the diverse needs of learners in both individual and small group settings Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other staff to support student learning goals Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, achievements, and challenges Maintain documentation and accurate records in compliance with all regulatory requirements Participate in relevant meetings, professional development, and training sessions Foster a positive, respectful classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence This rewarding contract position offers the chance to build lasting relationships with students and become a valued part of a passionate educational staff.
