Job Description

Make an extraordinary impact within dedicated self-contained classrooms supporting students with diverse and higher needs. Multiple focus teaching positions are available across various grade levels, including roles at elementary and middle schools, as well as a long-term substitute opportunity for a resource teacher. This contract role provides a dynamic setting to apply your expertise in special education and shape positive student outcomes.
What youll bring:
Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in one of the following areas: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or Academic & Behavioral Strategist License. Strong foundation in implementing and following individualized behavior intervention plans. Deep understanding of classroom structures and routines that enhance student engagement and success. Excellent instructional skills tailored to learners with diverse abilities and challenges. Demonstrated reliability and exceptional attendance. Commitment to collaborationwork effectively with special education, general education colleagues, and paraprofessionals to create an inclusive environment. Flexibility and resourcefulness to adapt to changing needs in self-contained classroom settings.
Key responsibilities:
Design and deliver individualized lesson plans based on IEP goals, using evidence-based strategies. Implement and monitor effective behavior management techniques. Maintain clear, frequent communication with team members and families regarding student progress. Support and guide paraprofessionals working within your classroom. Participate in IEP meetings and help families navigate educational programming decisions. Foster a supportive, encouraging classroom where all students feel included and valued. Compensation for this position ranges from $31.78 to $51.78. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
