Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact in the lives of students as a contract Special Education Teacher with an innovative program designed to empower learners in a setting III/centerbase LAUNCH environment. Your expertise will support and inspire growth for students with unique learning needs throughout the academic year.
What We're Looking For:
Current Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required) Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs Previous experience in a special education or center-based classroom preferred Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Passion for fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized instruction and behavioral support for students in accordance with IEP goals Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, school staff, and families Create a structured, nurturing classroom setting to advance student engagement and achievement Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust teaching strategies as needed Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and school-based activities Maintain accurate, compliant documentation You'll be stepping into a Monday-Friday role (37.5 hours per week) that allows you to focus on building strong, lasting connections with your students, while working alongside a dynamic, supportive educational community.
