Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students at a specialized learning center dedicated to those with the highest needs. This full-time contract opportunity allows you to work in a dynamic, supportive environment helping students from elementary through high school reach their full potential. The assignment spans from late August 2026 through early June 2027, with consistent weekday hours.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license, Tier 3 or Tier 4 required Experience working with Setting 4 caseloads, serving students with significant behavioral and developmental challenges strongly preferred Ability to adapt instructional strategies and create a safe, encouraging classroom climate Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams Commitment to inclusion, equity, and student-centered learning

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction and intervention to students based on IEP goals Develop and implement behavior management plans for students in Setting 4 Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to create comprehensive support strategies Maintain accurate and timely records, including documentation related to student progress and IEP compliance Demonstrate flexibility and empathy in meeting the varied and intensive needs of students Uphold district policies and contribute to a positive team culture This position provides the opportunity to make a lasting impact, working with a talented team in a rewarding, mission-driven environment.
