£160-£220 per day, dependent on experience
Contract:
Full-time, long-term We are seeking an experienced, passionate and committed SEND Teacher to join a specialist school in South Birmingham, supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated communication difficulties. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a specialist SEND environment, where personalised education, emotional wellbeing and positive relationships are at the heart of learning. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment, making this an excellent opportunity for a SEND Teacher who is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their individual potential.

Competitive daily rate (£160-£220 per day, dependent on experience) PAYE paid weekly Long-term stability Access to specialist SEND training and CPD opportunities Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement £150 refer a friend scheme (T&Cs apply) SEND Teacher role requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally within a specialist setting Strong understanding of Autism (ASC), SEMH and associated communication needs Experience implementing personalised learning strategies and supporting emotional regulation Ability to adapt teaching approaches to individual learning styles and abilities Strong classroom management and positive behaviour support skills A patient, resilient and nurturing approach to teaching Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply The successful SEND Teacher will: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs Support pupils with Autism, SEMH and associated behavioural and communication difficulties Create a structured, supportive and inclusive learning environment Implement positive behaviour strategies and support pupils with emotional regulation Monitor, assess and track individual pupil progress Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team, where applicable Build positive relationships that support pupils' academic, social and emotional development Help pupils develop confidence, independence and essential life skills Operam Education Group includes Provide Education | Teachers UK | Provision Recruitment | The Education Specialists | First for Education | Horizon Teachers | Key Stage Teacher Supply We're proud to be an inclusive employer, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and committed to creating accessible opportunities across education.
