Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Current teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain in Minnesota) Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and effective intervention strategies Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families Ability to adapt lessons and classroom management approaches to meet unique student needs Commitment to inclusivity, patience, and compassion in daily interactions
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students' diverse learning profiles Develop, review, and update IEPs in collaboration with parents and multi-disciplinary teams Track student progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with state and federal requirements Foster a welcoming, supportive classroom environment that encourages student empowerment Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, therapists, counselors, and administrators Communicate frequently with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for success Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in special education Embrace the opportunity to make a positive impact every day in the classroom.
