Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting a cluster classroom in a vibrant elementary environment near Saint Paul, MN. This full-time contract position begins on November 1, 2026, and continues through February 15, 2027. You'll provide instruction and leadership in a center-based setting, working with a dedicated team to serve approximately 10 students with diverse and complex learning needs. There is no hybrid or remote component; all instruction is in-person.
Key qualifications and preferred experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher licensure for the state of Minnesota Demonstrated skills working with students in DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disabilities) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) center-based classrooms Experience collaborating within a classroom team, including paraprofessionals Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive environment for students with significant needs Strong communication and classroom management skills Key responsibilities include: Designing and delivering individualized instruction for a cluster classroom of 10 students Leading and collaborating with 3 paraprofessionals in daily classroom activities Developing and implementing IEPs, monitoring progress, and adjusting interventions as needed Utilizing evidence-based strategies to support communication, behavior, and academic goals Providing regular updates and partnering with families and other professionals Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements Benefits of this contract assignment: Collaborate daily with a supportive staff and administration Focus on meaningful, relationship-driven special education in a well-resourced school Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule from 7:20am-3:20pm Step into a role where your expertise and compassion make a daily difference.
