Job Description
POSITION TITLE
Parents As Teachers Educator FLSA:
Non-exempt Part-Time:
The number of students enrolled in the program will dictate the total hours worked.QUALIFICATIONS
Individuals must qualify for training as a parent educator by meeting one of the following criteria: Certification and/or a four-year degree in either Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, Vocational Home Economics, Family and Consumer Sciences, or Child Development and demonstrated ability in working with young children and their parents; A two-year associate degree or two-year certificate program in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Nursing and demonstrated ability in working with young children and their parents; Sixty semester hours or more of credit from an academic degree-granting institution which is contained within the United States Department of Education's Directory of Post-Secondary Institutions and two years of successful experience in a program working with young children and their parents as approved by the Department; or Five years of successful experience in a program working with young children and their parents as approved by the Department and a high school diploma or equivalent.REPORTS TO
PrincipalJOB GOAL
The primary goal is to provide leadership, education, and support for the implementation of quality programs that enable families to become their children's best, first teachers. Coordinate and monitor service delivery in accordance with PAT Essential Requirements, PAT Quality Standards, and affiliate policies/procedures Coordinate advisory committee Develop/maintain relationships with community organizations and leaders to help grow and sustain the program Establish and update Memorandums of Understanding with community organizations, along with a Resource Network Directory Monitor service documentation, data collection, and reporting (including annual submission of the Affiliate Performance Report) Engage in quality assurance using PAT quality assurance tools Facilitate continuous quality improvement Maintain and monitor the budget for the PAT programSalary Schedule Deadline:
