Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Experience supporting students with hearing loss in grades K-8 preferred Strong understanding of deaf education methodologies, assistive technology, and communication supports Ability to create individualized instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills for partnering with staff, families, and related service providers Flexibility to travel between assigned school sites

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in both junior high and elementary school settings Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams Utilize a variety of instructional materials, technologies, and communication modes (including sign language) based on each student's needs Monitor and document student progress, providing regular updates to parents and school staff Offer consultation, guidance, and professional development to general education teachers and aides Support integration and participation of students in classroom and extracurricular activities Enjoy a role that values your expertise and allows you to make a real difference every day.
