Desired Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) required Current state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Experience or confidence delivering individualized support to children, ideally in a school or pediatric setting Strong collaboration and communication skills to work closely with educational teams and families Adaptability, compassion, and a proactive approach in addressing student needs Openness to working as a travel professional, bringing your expertise to new communities
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement personalized educational plans for a visually impaired student in a 1:1 setting Foster independence, self-advocacy, and access to the curriculum through specialized instructional techniques Coordinate services and modifications with school staff, parents, and specialists Assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed Create a welcoming, accessible, and supportive classroom environment Maintain clear documentation and participate in meetings regarding student progress and IEP goals
