Key Qualifications:
Hold active and valid North Carolina certification and licensure as a Special Education Teacher Demonstrated knowledge and experience in special education practices, with a commitment to inclusion Enthusiasm for working with middle school students and supporting diverse learning needs Ability to adapt curricular materials and instructional strategies for a variety of learners Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with support staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction in an inclusion setting, ensuring all students access the curriculum with appropriate accommodations Manage a small caseload of middle school students, tailoring educational plans to meet each learner's needs Collaborate with general education teachers and paraprofessionals to design and implement effective lesson plans Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), maintaining accurate documentation and compliance Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, independence, and academic growth
