9669761-28425 Job Description Make a meaningful difference in the lives of middle schoolers by supporting their educational success. This contract position is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher ready to provide personalized instruction and case management for students in grades 68. With a manageable caseload of 7 students and in-classroom Instructional Assistant (IA) support, youll have the resources and time needed to create impactful learning experiences.
Position Highlights:
Serve a caseload of 7 students in grades 6th8th, ensuring focused, individualized attention Benefit from Instructional Assistant support in the classroom for enhanced effectiveness Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours weekly, with planning periods allowing for up to 40 hours Collaborate within a supportive middle school environment dedicated to student success
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure/certification in Special Education (or ability to obtain) Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in middle school settings Comprehensive understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Strong skills in differentiation and classroom management Excellent collaboration abilities and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that meets diverse learning needs Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with families and colleagues Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure an integrated approach This role empowers you to make a daily impact while working alongside a passionate school team.
