Qualifications:

Active North Carolina Special Education Teaching certification (required for interview consideration) Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Excellent communication and collaborative skills with students, families, and school teams

Responsibilities:

Design and implement differentiated instructional strategies that support learner needs Create and execute IEPs in close partnership with parents, staff, and specialists Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and adapt interventions as needed Foster a positive and inclusive classroom climate that encourages student growth Participate in staff meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development opportunities
