What youll bring:
Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (required) Demonstrated experience or strong interest in supporting K-12 students with visual impairments Familiarity with educational assessment tools, including both formal and informal methods Ability to create and adapt lesson plans based on student needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and participating in ARD meetings Your role will include: Delivering instruction to students with visual impairments across elementary, middle, and high school settings Adapting curriculum materials and employing strategies tailored to meet unique visual needs in the classroom Conducting ongoing assessments of student progress and achievement to inform instructional planning Preparing for and actively contributing to ARD meetings, ensuring comprehensive student support Maintaining up-to-date documentation aligned with district and state requirements Engaging in professional development and staying current with best practices in visual impairment education This full-time contract position runs from August 10, 2026, to May 27, 2027, with a standard Monday through Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week) and three openings available.
