POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides technical assistance to classroom staff, children, and families, addressing children's development, challenging behaviors, and/or other mental health needs. It promotes program quality through consultation and training. This position may also provide intensive support and training in a classroom setting as needed.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
Preferred:
Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Special Education or related degree. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
Minimum:
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree. Degree(s) must be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.
EXPERIENCE
Five years of experience teaching in early childhood classrooms. Experience as a behavioral health therapist with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and/or experience working in an early childhood setting with children with identified disabilities.
