Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to support young learners in a school setting. This contract position focuses on providing specialized educational services to early childhood students with special needs. The role is based in Hertford, NC, and involves managing an early childhood caseload, delivering individualized instruction, and collaborating with educators and families to foster student growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of early childhood students with disabilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) according to guidelines Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual goals Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to create inclusive learning environments Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with early childhood special education students preferred Strong knowledge of early childhood development and special education laws Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to design and implement effective instructional strategies
