9644695-28602 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a self-contained classroom setting. This role spans from ASAP through May 2027, offering the chance to make a sustained, positive impact in the lives of elementary-aged learners. You will work with a caseload of 7 students in grades 3rd to 5th, each requiring a creative and adaptable approach to instruction. The position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week and designed for educators who are passionate, collaborative, and dedicated to individualizing learning for students with moderate to severe needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid EC Adaptive Curriculum Licensure required Prior experience working with moderate to severe caseloads strongly preferred Expertise in designing, implementing, and adjusting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong classroom management skills for a self-contained environment Excellent communication abilities to partner with families, support staff, and related service professionals Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a classroom of 3rd-5th grade students with diverse learning needs Develop, execute, and track progress on IEPs in collaboration with other staff Provide differentiated instruction and behavioral support Implement adaptive curriculum strategies and evidence-based interventions Maintain compliance with all documentation and legal requirements Work closely with other educators, therapists, and aides to maximize student growth This contract position offers a chance for dedicated professionals to see real growth in their students over an extended assignment.
