Must hold an active North Carolina Special Education Teaching certification Prior experience in a school or educational setting working with students with special needs is highly valued Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills Adaptability when meeting individual learning challenges and IEP goals Comfortable using technology and relevant classroom tools to enhance learning Ability to create and maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for assigned students Provide differentiated instruction tailored to each learners needs and abilities Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success Assess and document student progress, adjusting instruction as appropriate Support student social, emotional, and behavioral development Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations and reporting Engage creatively with classroom resources and curriculum adaptation
