Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Valid teaching certification in Visual Impairment. Prior experience or comfort working 1:1 within pediatric or special education settings. Strong understanding of Oculomotor Dysfunction and Visual Perceptual Disorders preferred. Ability to develop and implement innovative educational strategies tailored for visual impairments. Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction and accommodations for a student with visual impairment. Collaborate closely with staff, specialists, and family to maximize student development. Adapt curriculum and learning environments to the students unique needs. Advocate for the students access and participation in classroom activities. Maintain up-to-date records and detailed progress reports.
