Reaching Independence through Structured Education Program, RISE — The RISE program offers an educational experience customized to support students with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder and/or related characteristics. This program supports students with language, social, regulation and academic needs.

Qualifications:

Professional Educator License as required by the State of Illinois and LBS1 endorsement preferred.

Salary Information:

Salary is based on Bachelor Degree Step 1 Lane using the 2025-2026 Salary Schedule. Daily rate $303.93 Click here for the DGEEA Contract 2024-2027 , Salary Schedule located on page 64.

Identifies student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems. Utilizes appropriate teaching skills to accomplish selected objectives. Demonstrates appropriate presentation skills to engage students in their learning. Employs appropriate monitoring skills. Adjusts the lesson to meet individual student needs. Utilizes appropriate closure techniques. Employs appropriate assessment techniques. Applies appropriate principles of learning. Demonstrates knowledge in the content area. Communicates current and accurate knowledge in the content area in acceptable standard language. Manages the classroom to ensure the best use of instructional time and an environment that promotes learning and student responsibility. Manages classroom time effectively.
