Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting Familiarity with general curriculum educational standards and IEP writing Strong communication skills for collaboration with colleagues, families, and students Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to students with exceptional needs, adapting general curriculum content Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor progress toward established goals Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to implement accommodations and modifications Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Foster a respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages social and academic growth Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and plans
