Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personal care, companionship, and support in daily activities. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with individuals of varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and other health conditions. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide patient observation and monitoring to ensure safety and well-being. Prepare meals and assist with cooking/warming meals according to dietary needs. Maintain cleanliness in the client's living environment through regular cleaning tasks. Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning shared living spaces, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Uphold HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times. Experience Ideal candidates will have experience or skills in the following areas: First aid and CPR certification is preferred or willingness to obtain. Familiarity with patient care techniques including vital signs monitoring, meal preparation, and caregiving practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or Alzheimer's disease is highly valued. North Carolina Interventions (NCI) and Medication Administration training preferred (or willingness to complete). Background in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and their families. Qualifications At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or
GED, CNA
certification preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in caregiving, home health, or working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift and provide physical support as needed. Must pass a criminal background check.
