Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Active Special Education teaching license for North Carolina, or eligibility for a reciprocal license with current active credentials in another state School-based experience is preferred, though new teachers eager to learn and grow are welcome to apply Strong commitment to student achievement, inclusive practices, and adaptability in various classroom situations Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction in a co-teaching classroom, supporting both academic and social-emotional needs of students with exceptionalities Collaborate with general educators, related service providers, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collect and assess student data to inform instruction and adjust strategies for optimum student growth Participate in grade-level meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that celebrates differences and supports all learners
