Resource Position Overview Birch Agency is currently seeking a qualified Exceptional Children (EC) Resource Teacher for a school-based opportunity in Mooresville, NC . This position is ideal for an experienced special education teacher who is passionate about providing individualized instruction and helping students succeed academically and socially. Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction to students receiving Exceptional Children services in a resource setting. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) . Provide accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction based on individual student needs. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and records. Collaborate with general education teachers to support student success and ensure appropriate implementation of IEPs. Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families, school staff, and related service providers. Maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Qualifications Appropriate North Carolina Exceptional Children (EC) teaching license or eligibility for licensure. Experience providing specialized instruction in a school setting preferred. Experience with IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and collaboration with general education staff. Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Why Birch Agency?
