Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality, individualized instruction aligned with best practices in special education, early childhood development, and behavior management. Duties Develop and implement engaging, evidence-based lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, incorporating curriculum development and instructional modifications. Manage classroom activities to create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment that promotes social-emotional growth and behavioral health. Utilize educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences and support literacy, math, communication skills, and other core subjects. Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress through standardized testing, progress monitoring, and portfolio reviews to inform instruction and IEP (Individualized Education Program) planning. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, parents, and other specialists to develop comprehensive support strategies for students with developmental disabilities. Maintain detailed documentation of student achievements, behavior management plans, and compliance with special education law requirements. Mentor and supervise teaching staff and aides to ensure consistency in classroom management and instructional quality across the team. Skills Proven experience working with children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and special education laws such as IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act). Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and behavioral therapy techniques. Excellent communication skills for parent-teacher conferences, team collaboration, and community engagement. Skilled in classroom management techniques tailored for students with behavioral health needs and behavior management for students with special needs. Ability to integrate educational technology effectively within diverse learning environments. Experience working with IEPs to customize instructional approaches and accommodations for students' success. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to mentor staff while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Knowledge of Montessori or preschool methodologies is a plus; experience in private or public school settings is preferred.
