Heart & Home Connections is seeking a patient, dependable, and nurturing male mentor/respite provider to support a 15-year-old autistic teen during after-school hours. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and helping teens develop confidence, independence, and emotional regulation skills. Schedule Approximately 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM several evenings per week Potential for an occasional weekend shift Flexible scheduling based on caregiver availability About the Role We are looking for a strong, positive male role model who can provide consistent support, encouragement, and structure. This teen has low support needs autism and ADHD and benefits from engaging activities, routine, and someone who can help him navigate boredom, anxiety, and emotional regulation in a positive way. The ideal caregiver will enjoy mentoring, be active and engaging, and help foster: Social-emotional development Independence and life skills Healthy coping strategies Positive communication and problem-solving Community engagement and recreational activities Ideal Qualifications Experience working with autistic children, teens, or individuals with developmental disabilities Background in behavioral support, mental health, education, psychology, social work, ABA, youth mentoring, or a related field is strongly preferred Calm, patient, and confident demeanor Ability to build trust while maintaining healthy boundaries Reliable transportation and a clean driving record If you're looking for an opportunity to make a lasting impact by serving as a positive mentor and role model for a teen, we'd love to hear from you.
