9665200-27565 Job Description Make an impact working as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school environment, supporting a small, dedicated caseload of up to 10 students. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide individualized attention and meaningful instruction in an Exceptional Childrens Services (ECS) classroom. Your expertise will directly enhance the educational journey of students with unique learning needs. The assignment runs from October 1 through May 21, 2027, with a consistent weekly commitment of 37.5 hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid teaching credential with Adaptive Curriculum Certification (required) Experience working in special education, especially with elementary-aged children Strong background in designing and implementing adaptive curriculum plans Excellent communication and collaboration skills Proven ability to foster a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction tailored to each students IEP and individual needs Collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and specialists Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress Employ adaptive teaching strategies and use appropriate resources to support student learning Maintain organized documentation and progress reports for each student Participate in staff meetings and professional development as needed This is a fantastic opportunity to devote your passion and expertise to helping students achieve their fullest potential in an adaptive curriculum classroom.
