God's Lil Gifts Christian Center | Pikeville, NC At God's Lil Gifts Christian Center , we believe caring for children is more than a job—it is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. Each day, parents entrust us with some of their most precious gifts, and we do not take that responsibility lightly. Our goal is to provide a safe, loving, nurturing, and faith-filled environment where children are encouraged to learn, grow, and know that they are valued and loved. As our center continues to grow, we are looking for dependable, caring, and dedicated individuals who want to grow with us. We want people who take pride in their work, understand the importance of teamwork, and genuinely want to be part of the God's Lil Gifts family. We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:
FULL-TIME TEACHER
We are looking for a loving, dependable, enthusiastic Full-Time Teacher who understands that teaching young children is about so much more than getting through the day. Our teachers have the opportunity to help build the foundation children will carry with them as they grow. You will be there for the learning, the laughter, the challenges, the milestones, and all of those little moments in between that make early childhood education so special. Our Full-Time Teacher will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, structured, nurturing, engaging, and age-appropriate classroom environment where children can learn and thrive. Responsibilities will include caring for and supervising children throughout the day, implementing classroom activities and learning experiences, maintaining classroom routines, encouraging positive behavior and social development, communicating appropriately with families and coworkers, and helping ensure that each child receives the attention, encouragement, and care they deserve. We are not simply looking for someone to supervise a classroom. We are looking for a teacher. Someone who will get down on the floor and interact with the children, read stories with enthusiasm, encourage curiosity and creativity, celebrate accomplishments, and recognize that even the smallest moments can become meaningful learning experiences. We want someone who understands that every child is different. Some children need a little more encouragement. Some need extra patience. Some need to be challenged. And sometimes a child simply needs to know there is a caring adult in their corner who believes in them. Teaching young children requires patience and consistency, but it also requires laughter, imagination, flexibility, energy, and a whole lot of love. Because we are a Christian center, we also want our teachers to understand and support the importance of creating an environment where Christian values are reflected in the way we teach, speak, serve, love, and care for one another. Our ideal Full-Time Teacher will be dependable, nurturing, organized, patient, energetic, professional, and committed to being an active member of our team. If you are looking for a classroom where you can build relationships, make memories, help children reach important milestones, and know that the work you are doing matters, we would love to meet you. FLOATER Our Floater plays an important role in supporting our classrooms and helping the center operate smoothly throughout the day. This position will work with children of various ages, provide classroom coverage as needed, assist teachers with daily routines and activities, and help maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment. Because the needs of a childcare center can change throughout the day, we need someone who is flexible and comfortable moving between classrooms and responsibilities. One moment you may be helping a teacher during a busy transition, and the next you may be providing coverage in another classroom. The ideal candidate will be dependable, patient, energetic, adaptable, and willing to step in wherever support is needed. We are looking for someone who works well with others, takes initiative, and genuinely enjoys interacting with children. If you are the type of person who notices when someone needs an extra hand and is willing to step in with a positive attitude, you could be a wonderful addition to our team.
PERMANENT SUBSTITUTES
Our Permanent Substitutes will be important and trusted members of the God's Lil Gifts team. These are not simply occasional substitute positions. We are looking for multiple dependable individuals who will become part of our regular substitute team—people we can confidently rely on when a teacher or other classroom staff member is absent. In childcare, illnesses, appointments, emergencies, vacations, and unexpected situations happen. When a regular staff member cannot be at work, it is important that we have reliable substitutes who are familiar with our center, our expectations, our routines, and most importantly, our children. Our Permanent Substitutes may work in different classrooms and with different age groups depending on the needs of the center. Responsibilities may include providing classroom coverage, supervising and interacting with children, assisting with lessons and activities, following classroom schedules and routines, helping with meals and transitions, and maintaining the safe, loving, and structured environment our children are accustomed to. Because these are positions that our children, families, teachers, and administration will depend on, reliability and availability are extremely important. We are looking for individuals who are flexible enough to work in different classrooms, confident enough to step in when a regular teacher is absent, and caring enough to provide children with the consistency and reassurance they need when their usual teacher may not be there. Who might be a great fit? This could be a wonderful opportunity for someone who has a flexible schedule and would enjoy having a meaningful reason to get out, stay active, connect with others, and make a difference in the lives of children. Perhaps you are retired and miss being around people , a former teacher or childcare professional who still has a heart for children , someone whose schedule allows for flexibility, or simply someone who would love to spend part of their time doing work that feels meaningful and rewarding. You do not have to be looking for a traditional classroom position to become an important part of our team. What matters to us is that you are dependable, caring, patient, willing to learn, and ready to be there when our center needs you. Our goal is for our Permanent Substitutes to become familiar and trusted faces at God's Lil Gifts —not strangers who simply fill an empty spot. We want our children to know you, our teachers to trust you, and our administration to know that when we need you, we can depend on you. If you have some flexibility in your schedule, enjoy being around children, and have been looking for an opportunity to get involved, connect with others, and do something that truly matters, this may be a wonderful fit for you.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Regardless of the position, we are looking for individuals who understand the importance of the work we do. Working in childcare requires patience, consistency, responsibility, compassion, professionalism, flexibility, and teamwork. It means understanding that little eyes are watching, little ears are listening, and little hearts are being shaped every day. We want team members who will treat our children with kindness and respect, support their coworkers, communicate professionally, be dependable, arrive ready to work, and be willing to help when needed. We are looking for people who understand that sometimes the smallest moments can make the biggest difference—a kind word, an encouraging smile, comforting a child through a difficult moment, celebrating a new accomplishment, or simply making sure a child knows that someone cares about them. We also believe strongly in teamwork. Childcare is not an environment where we can say, "That's not my job," when another member of our team genuinely needs help. While everyone has specific responsibilities, we want employees who are willing to work together for the good of our children and our center. Most importantly, applicants should understand, respect, and be willing to support the Christian mission and values of God's Lil Gifts Christian Center.
WHY JOIN GOD'S LIL GIFTS?

At the end of each day, we want every child who walks through our doors to know that they were safe, cared for, encouraged, and loved. It takes the right people to make that possible. If you are dependable, hardworking, caring, willing to be part of a team, and have a genuine heart for children , we would love the opportunity to meet you.
